Last week, the Student Center held the club fair during lunch, where 23 clubs received hundreds of sign ups. Mrs. Lamrouex said it was “one of the largest years for clubs, and in the 13 years I’ve worked here, probably the most clubs and the most student participants we’ve ever seen.” Club leaders including Paul Huynh, Sachiel Fickel and Emily Monahan have all emphasized excitement about the high enrollment in their clubs, which include Math Olympiad, Model UN, Robotics, and Asian & Pacific Islander Student Union.

The available clubs range from Student Union opportunities to competition based clubs to Focus Time options for fellowship (all clubs can be found below). When asked about her future goals for student life and club opportunities, Lamrouex replied that while “club scheduling can be challenging, a goal is a club meeting calendar, so students can find events or meetings they’re interested in.”

Clubs are a great way for CC students to get involved beyond their classes. Lamrouex emphasized this when she said that CC has a great athletics community with tons of students involved and she appreciates growing the club scene on campus to allow for students to pursue specified interests in new ways. She also said that clubs have created great options for leadership and she has really seen student leaders step up. She said that nearly all clubs are student-run and “to see all of the students step up into leadership roles has been really awesome.”
