Homecoming Brings Students Together for a Night of Celebration

The excitement for homecoming started before the dance even began. On the Friday before the dance, students gathered for an assembly where this year’s homecoming court was announced.

The girls nominated for Homecoming Court were:

Mirabelle Boivin

Daisy Hernandez-Zamudio

 Catherine Kay

Madeline Tietema

Alyza Troth and

Alyssa Yost

The boys nominated were:

Peter App

Noah Applewhite

Mitchell Dunlap

Mason England

Sachiel Fickel

Taylor Wisinski

After the votes were counted, Catherine Kay was named Homecoming Queen and Noah Applewhite was named Homecoming King.

Catherine said, “I was not expecting to win but I’m grateful for the opportunity and for all of my classmates who supported me.” Noah shared a similar reaction, saying he was also surprised by the win and thankful for everyone who supported him.

After the court was announced, students continued celebrating at the dance the next day. The dance featured great music that kept students engaged throughout the night. “Compared to other homecomings, the music stood out and had students jumping, dancing and singing along,” said Sophia Berger ‘27.

The energy on the dance floor stayed high as students spent the night enjoying their friends and making memories together. Overall, this year’s Homecoming was a night filled with school spirit, excitement and plenty of dancing.
