After 4 years of service, Eve has decided to part ways with her home at Catholic Central and relinquish her duties as Catholic Central’s service dog. The reason seems to lie in her overall stress of being petted all of the time. As anyone can tell when they run into Eve, she is less than excited to be part of their day (as shown by her just lying on the ground). Along with the amount of stairs she is forced to walk up each day, and the singular treat she receives on Fridays, she is ready to part ways. This has become a stressor for the counseling office instead of the relief Eve should bring.
As Eve is a member of the Paws with a Cause foundation, she has been planning this departure independently for quite some time. After taking this request to the head of the foundation, she has been approved for departure from CC. Mrs. Smitley took this news pretty hard, as Eve and she have a very close bond.
Due to her overall unhappiness, Eve has decided to take measures even further and sue the entirety of the counseling department for endangerment. Which, according to Eve and her lawyers, is simply being put in situations where students are petting her. While her job has been attempted to be explained to her, she still has a lack of understanding of why she is at CC. The lawsuit is expected to go through by the end of spring break, when she can finalize her decision during her time off.
The journalism staff would like to wish Eve well in her future endeavors and hope that she finds her true passion!
Happy April Fools!
