Whether we learned the hard way as a freshman or knew the obvious, there are always unspoken high school hallway rules. Not only at CC, but surely every school.
Firstly, walking in the correct flow of traffic. Nothing is worse than fully body-slamming someone else while trying to make it to theology class on time. It also creates unnecessary traffic and uncomfortable eye contact. Don’t walk on the wrong side of the hallway!
Next, walking two steps up at a time in the stairs. Going from the first floor steam building to the fifth floor main building isn’t an easy commute and slow walkers don’t help.
Accidently walking to the wrong carrier sucks, but what’s more awkward is turning around directly in the same spot in the hallway. There’s no doubt being face-to-face with someone you’ve only talked to once for a group discussion isn’t awkward.
Last but not least, walking at a good pace. In our case, slow and steady does not win the race. Let’s make it to class on time and dodge those tardies!
