Is Mrs. Rettenmaier a Friendly Face or Hallway Hawk?

With the turn of a new school year, lots of new changes have come to Catholic Central. Mrs. Kelli Rettenmaier has been added to the school administration, working with Mrs. Kantiz and President Deja to help make the school a better place.

Mrs. Rettenmaier went to Saint Francis school kindergarten through 12th grade and always wanted to return to catholic education, so when the opportunity arose she jumped on it.

When she gets to school she said, “I like to start my day with students, so I am either at the car line or front door welcoming and greeting kids.” She also immerses herself in the school by meeting with teachers, students and parents at all hours of the day. She said, “I really like the student part of the job, kids are the fun part most days.” Helping students grow into the best versions of themselves, not only academically but also spiritually, is a major focus for Mrs. Rettenmaier.

At Catholic Central, the staff is very welcoming and supportive. Mrs. Rettenmaier said, “Mrs. Kanitz has been a wealth of knowledge in all things.” Even though she started a year ago, Mrs. Kanitz has learned all she can about this school along with Mrs. Lamrouex and the office staff to help pass the knowledge onto Mrs. Rettenmaier. Many of the students may remember Mrs. Rettenmaier as she worked at Saint Paul not too long ago.

Mrs. Rettenmaier’s life extends past school and into her family. She has a husband, Kyle, a two year old daughter, Ella, and is almost at her due date for her baby boy. She said, “I am most excited for my daughter to have a sibling, especially one that is close in age.” As the baby boy is due September 16th of this year, the plan for her maternity leave is for Mrs. Kanitz and Mrs. Lamrouex to help cover her responsibilities until she returns.
