Catholic Schools Week served as an opportunity for the school community to celebrate faith, service, and academic excellence while highlighting the values that define Catholic education. Throughout the week, students and staff participated in a variety of activities to emphasize service, school spirit, gratitude, and a shared commitment to living out Catholic values.
The week began on January 26th, students who had completed more than 20 hours of service were permitted to dress down after presenting their MobileServe records to a staff member. Those students also received a bracelet recognizing their eligibility.
On January 27th, staff members were honored with a staff appreciation day, which included lunch provided for faculty and administrators and a dress-down day. The Diocesan Catholic Schools Week Mass was also celebrated Bishop Walkowiak presiding with choir and leadership students in attendance.
On January 28th, the focus shifted to vocations with the Feast of Saint Thomas Aquinas. The school community gathered for Mass, during which liturgical ministers were recognized, and students viewed a video message for priests and pastors connected to the school. Vocational discernment groups and liturgical ministers participated in a special lunch.
The celebration continued on January 29th with tradition and house pride as students wore their house shirts with uniform bottoms. They enjoyed free ice cream sandwiches at lunch, and took part in a lip-sync competition.
Catholic Schools Week concluded on January 30th with a student and community blood drive where students participated donating blood for those in need, a Catholic Central spirit dress-down day, and a snow shuffle assembly.
