With fall season in the rearview, in comes a new season. Everyone enjoys Thanksgiving, Christmas and even New Years. There is one thing that everyone can agree to look forward to and that is winter sports. Let’s focus on the shining stars we know and love with the Cougar Boys Basketball team.
The Cougars look to make another run at the Breslin Center this year after a tough 43-39 loss to the eventual champs Warren Lincoln. The Cougars are lead by second year head coach Chris Pearl. With senior forward Zay Larthridge ’26 out for the season, guards BB Watkins ’26 and Jordan McCoy ’26 are looking to make an even bigger impact on the floor and lead this team all the way.
When asked about their success and how they plan to replicate it or better it Watkins said, “Focus in the off season and through the whole year. When it’s time to work, our team works harder than anybody in the state. We have guys constantly in the gym trying to get better.”
These boys dedication and passion for the game will be exciting to see. Everyone look out for the Cougars this season because they’re hungry and looking for a chip in the process, and wont stop until they do.
