Starting a new school year doesn’t just mean new freshmen or transfer students joining our community; we also welcome teachers and staff. We aim to welcome our new staff members as warmly as we do with our students. For this, we got to know them, their past, and their plans for the future.
Introducing Mr. Kamper, our community’s new Spanish teacher as he brings us into his personal world. His first thing he wanted us to know: “Most important thing to know about me; I’m a Christ follower. Nothing is more important to me than listening to Jesus.” We seem to be a perfect match for Mr. Kamper.
He told us about his family life. Mr. Kamper shared, “I am very fond of being a girl dad. I love being a dad!” Mr. Kamper has two girls. His dedication and reiteration of saying he loves fatherhood shows his dedication to his family, as well as his dedication to teaching. Mr. Kamper also shares about his high school sweetheart wife, who’ve been together since they were 15 when they met in their freshman physical science class.
Finally, Mr. Kamper shared his experience having Mr. Harvey and Mr. Aldrich as students! He said, “They’re very much like they are now. They were quirky and had a unique perspective.” Mr. Kamper described them as having “personalities that were naturally drawn too.”
